We just wanted to say that we are extremely proud of our husband/father/grandfather Al for coming in first place in his age group (the oldest person to complete it) in the half-marathon in Seattle on Sunday. Despite the 94 degree heat, a bad bout of nausea after eating some power drink thingy, and the mostly-uphill route with little shade, HE DID IT!!!!! Congratualtions!!! And Diana was also a trooper who walked along with him. We felt we were with you both in spirit, for sure! Our own "marathon" around the Colloseum was not as long, but it was probably more hot. Anyway, we love you and are so proud of you, Dad!
